Investigator Agency Wolverhampton – War Baby

A young woman came to us at Investigator Agency Wolverhampton hoping to identify and locate the biological father of her grandmother. As a child born in the midst of war the client’s grandmother had been raised by her mother only and remained unaware of her father’s real name and location a scenario fairly common at the time. As a surprise for her grandmother’s 60th birthday the client wished to locate her great grandfather.

The investigation began by assembling the limited information on the target in the possession of the client. With this information several possible identities were discovered which warranted further study. The investigation was narrowed down to an individual who had survived the war and was living in his homeland of Canada with his large family. Photos of the individual were discovered to accompany this information all of which bore strong resemblance to the client’s physical family traits. All of this evidence was presented to the client who went on to share the information with her grandmother to assess her feelings on the enquiry before proceeding further. Upon receiving the evidence of the life of the father she assumed to be dead the client’s grandmother requested that contact be made and a DNA test be entreated which would either confirm the identity of the individual or avoid further upset. Upon receipt of the invitation for contact the individual responded eagerly and offered to enter the country for the investigation to continue. During this period DNA screenings were carried out which returned positive.

Following the investigation the client was able to reunite her grandmother with the father she thought she would never know and meet a whole new side of her family.
