A woman came to Private Detective Agency in Wolverhampton after discovering that the mother who raised her was in fact her aunt. After confronting her aunt to no avail the woman decided to pursue the identification of her mother herself with our aid. As the client had very little information on the individual she was trying to locate the investigation began fairly slowly but soon began to pick up speed.

After several different routes of investigation were followed up possible identities for the individual were narrowed down to two main suspects. Once presented with the information at this stage of the enquiry the client requested that contact be made with both of these individuals with regards to her past. However both individuals denied responsibility for the client and said they did not wish for further contact. After this final alley of investigation reached a dead end the client decided to again approach the aunt who raised her and ask her to confirm that neither individual was her biological mother. After persuasion the client’s aunt agreed to this and from the photographic evidence provided assured the client that the second individual was her mother despite her denial. Following this the client again approached the individual with this development in the case and requested that she undergo a polygraph test to ascertain the truth. Reluctantly the individual complied and the test revealed that she was the mother of the client and was aware of this fact.

It was revealed that the client had been given to her aunt at birth as her mother was already married to a man other than her father who was unaware of the affair that had produced her. After the investigation the client was refused contact by her mother but was content to know her true parentage.
